Increased productivity
The user can interactively move activity bars in all directions on the Gantt chart and may also take advantage of hide and unhide features to view only elements of interest. To look at information relevant to an activity, pertinent textual data is displayed on or around the activity bar and/or may be displayed through a pop-up window by clicking on the activity. An activity can have up to 11 fields of descriptive textual data that can either be keyed-in or imported. To quickly access any activity containing specific descriptive text, a wild card search can be performed on one or all fields. The time interval of the activities to be searched can also be specified. All occurrences of the text string are listed on a pop-up window and the list can be used as a basis for subsequent more refined searches. Upon picking the item on the list, the associated activity bar(s) will be highlighted directly on the Gantt chart. Activities can also be marked (annotated) with a hidden text string and later located using the find mark function.

Hardcopy
It is possible to output Gantt charts on just about any hardcopy device that is supported by the Microsoft operating system. The output can be directed to a colour plotter, an inkjet printer or a laser printer. The user controls the number of pages to be printed upon.

Multi-user control
The Gantt It Plus version is used to help control environments where multiple users require access to Gantt charts but need different levels of restrictions when interacting with a Gantt chart. For example some users might need all rights, others may require authority to only view; make cosmetic changes; move activities. User names and passwords are utilised to control user authorisation levels .
